From the Smithsonian Institute,
The Axelrod String Quartet makes its auspicious
debut with Houston Early Music. Marc Destrubé and Marilyn McDonald (violins), James Dunham (viola) and Kenneth Slowik, (’cello) will perform three great Haydn String Quartets on period instruments. In addition to their Friday night concert program of Haydn’s String Quartets Op. 20, No. 2 in C, Op. 50,

No 4 in f# and Op. 77, No. 2 in F, Axelrod Quartet members will also engage in panel discussions, masterclasses, and a lecture-recital included in the Haydn Revealed weeklong celebration.
